India is a vast country of more than a billion+ population. Is this population only good in quantity?I certainly think so because even after having so many people of different kinds we cut a sorry figure always in the olympics, asian games etc.Why does this happen?

yes Indians are focusing too much on studies. Majority of Indians are below the poverty line, and if the children do not get about 85 to 90 percent marks how will they become engineers or doctors. If they have to get these marks they have to put in least 6to 8 hours of studies, At this rate when will he get time for studies. More over the home work given to children these days is so much that the child dose not get time to eat his meals, then how do you expect him to play games.I feel children who are weak in studies should be trained in sports full time giving their education less importance and promoting them to the next class by evaluating their sports skills. All this should be done by a private company.and not by the government. If the government takes up such schemes there will be only enquiry committee for the failure of the programs.

Our leaders have always represented the quality of a "humble servant" to achieve their hidden agenda. The have always been a role model for "hypocricy". Our education system creates followers and never allows to think originally. We study for job and nothing but job. We can not learn anything to satisfy our passion. This is the reason why all our IITian fly to US immediately after graduation. It is easy to preach but better to be realistic.

B'coz most of us are pessimist.
To get success we have gotta be an optimist,an opportunist and at last we have to believe that we r unique among everyone around and we've got the abilities to do what we r doing!

not really...we have quite a good crowd intersted in sports...
u know....it is not possible to match our stamina, power and endurance internationally, even on steroids.
because we are made like that...climate,food and practise makes less competetive internationally.
there are schools and colleges without play ground...so an earlier awareness is really required for a competetion.
