got out of your car when you were pumping gas and realized that your gas tank was on the other side of your car? I did that today. I felt really stupid because 3 people saw me.

Yes....not only that....I tripped getting out of my car trying to act cool in front of hottie guy and his friends, then that is when I realized that my tank was on the other side. I just drove away!

LMAO yes!! When I got a new car it was on the driver's side so it always screwed me up cuz my other car was on the passenger's. And now I'm back to the passenger side so I have to think for a minute when I pull into the gas station!

Yeah. It's even worse when you've already gone through the pre-pay process, then realize your stupid mistake. You have to either cancel and move around or risk moving out of the spot and have someone else who isn't very patient creep in. I got into an argument with some dude who was in a hurry and much more important than a peasant like me. God forbid I waste any more of hist time by turning around...

Buddy if pulling up with the car facing the wrong direction is your biggest problem then i would say you are pretty blessed! I do not feel stupid as the gas hose always can extend to the other side of the car, unless you drive an 18 wheeler.

yeah I have 2 cars and gas tanks are on the opposite sides so I do it all the time

yes, to make you feel less stupid, i will admit to the fact that i have even gotten back in my car drove around to another pump, only to realize that i had just made a circle and the pump was still on the wrong side..

I do that. I have 2 cars ones a piece of crap ford that I drive for the winter and for the summer I drive my XJS V12 jaguar and for the first couple of weeks I get confused to what side the tank is on.

Sure, when I am driving someone else's car. I usually go to a station where they pump the gas for you, that is all they have in my town.

Yes, I have ! I felt like a total moron !
But after It happened that one time, I learned a trick.
Always check the to where the gas gage is pointing towards.
Mine is to the right. I have never made that mistake again.
Even if I borrow my husbands truck, his is on the left.
