I was in the store the other day with my kids and I could tell this guy was thinking of saying something along those lines and I gave him the "Keep your mouth shut if you know what's good for you" look before he said anything. Has anyone ever said that to you?

This world has become so cell phone crazy and most of the times they are the ones being inconsiderate and rude. How many times have I been in line or waiting at a public place and had to hear someone's conversation? No nobody has ever asked me to keep it down and I would advise them not to.

No one has ever done that to me. I do not think people on cell phones in a public places will very often be that rude, out of concern that they may be upsetting others by speaking on a phone in public. When I get a call in a public place, I find I get a lot of nasty looks when I speak to the person calling. I pay no attention to them. The only calls I do get are from my family and they are important calls, not ideal chat.

Yeah I have had someone say, "keep it down" to me and some people around her in a grocery store, I thought it was kind of weird, because she could have just walked somewhere where there aren't a lot of people.

Yeah..one time i was talking to my Mom...about the embarrassing subject of gas..(no kidding..lol)! I was waiting in line at the Grocery Store...and my Mom has a bit of a hearing problem; when she knows I'm on my cell...she feels the need to yell...and it is quite contagious! lol...Anyways...I had to shout, "Did you say Gas-x? Yes...GAS-X...IS THAT WHAT YOU NEED??" Yeah..that really happened...Some people were chuckling...some were glaring at me like i was totally stupid..lol...it was my Mom.God love her...ha ha.

Yes it happened to me a few times but i wasn't on the phone. I usually realize I'm being loud before people say anything. I think we might need to practice being more quit... sometimes. lol

No, but I would be a bit miffed if they did. I might ask them to go into a closet to continue their conversation so I could hear mine.

no, but I said it to somebody in the movie theater once. They just opened their phone and started talking right in the middle of the best part.

Not unless they want to be made a fool of in public for even suggesting it.
