I am taking an online biology class because I am having a baby in a few months. The teacher does weird things like telling us to study for a particular test and we do and he intentionally puts the wrong test on there (and of course I fail), he gets super mad when you ask him anything about your grade and says everything is your fault, he lies alot too. The dean put me in this class and I asked the teacher if I could finish it in person, he lied and said I never asked him such a thing and ignored me. I make 100s on my homework but my tests I fail miserably. I study for them like crazy. He writes me back insulting emails and questions my mental state and intelligence level. I am an adult, with rights and dont feel I should be treated this bad. I forwarded some of his nasty emails to the dean and kept all of them and the dean never responded. This guy also sells his notes in the college bookstore and expects us to pay $7.00 for a good grade. I hate to quit because I need it for insurance.

I teach on line courses at a college as well as on line. My advice to you is to keep any and all emails that in any way are insulting and take them to an administrative review board. In other words make a formal complaint. The instructor is there to try to help you, and yes sometimes students are a pain but that is what he is being paid to do. If you do not make a formal complaint then everyone will ignore the situation and hope it goes away on its own. Keep copies of all emails and any derogatory communication and bring formal charges.

Print the e-mails and exams and homework out, take them to the dean or the president of the collage in person and ask them to do something or you are going to get a lawyer. Also check with the state board of ethics.

Forward your e-mails to the person over dean. If dean doesn't respond he doesn't want to get involved, which is not professional.

Find out who is dean's boss and forward your mail to him. I would if I were you.
Please keep all the e-mails until you resolve the issue.. It's very important that you do.

Best of luck to you!!

Talk to the dean. This sounds like he is puposely singling you out. Possibly rascism or sexism??? You should not have to tolerate this, and if the dean does nothing, ask for a free consoltation with a lawyer.

Report these incidents to the ethics board or if you haven't one then your local paper or radio/tv station, that should make your Dean respond quite quickly! But make sure that you have witnesses and dates and times these events occurred! As these bastards can cover themselves and each other quite effectively! Another good resource is a voice activated tape recorder. so you can prove the abuse happened! Good luck, and have a good day!

Hand deliver those e-mails to the dean and wait for a response. And then go to the dean's boss.

IF this fairly befell, you may desire to checklist it at as quickly as. Run, do no longer walk, to the Admin workplace, or Police, and checklist this. in case you're making this up, you may desire to join a inventive writing classification.

You should file an official grievance against him. You'll be doing future students a favor.
