Add the memory, and it would probably serve you well at that price, but be sure it's on the level. Get a refund policy in case it's D.O.A.

Those Windows Security Updates are not too good, you know that don't you!? And Norton leaves a lot to be desired. Nothing THERE.
The guy's getting rid of it because it must be loaded with virus, Trojans, and spyware.
Man, get a new Dell or whatever. And before you get to any sites, the first thing you do is get AVG (free) or McAfee Suite installed and running. And SpySweeper. THEN surf.
If you get a used computer anytime, anywhere, you'll be sorry. Don't be looking at the money and saying "wow! what a deal! and look!!-I'm saving $100!" I'll almost guarantee, there's SOMETHING (or many somethings) wrong with it. This guy wants some money before he walks into Best Buy and gets a new one. Don't help him - and then you end up with his junk?----no.

The price is a little steep. But it would be a reasonable internet surfer. If you are 100 percent sure the licenses on the software are good and you get the original media and license keys (meaning you get the original certs of authenticity), it would be a good deal. The software is worth 2 to 3 times what the computer is worth, maybe more.

I know where I can get a computer for cheaper than but the Operation System is questionable.

Send him an e-mail and see if you can find any sticker on that computer. If he selling a computer without stickers then obviously he making a big profit through form of piracy.

$15 for a 17in monitor is not bad and expensive. I usually find these for $30 at a recycling place.

Nope - that's too much money for that old computer. (About $50 too much) I'd have to wonder though... do you get the CDs and the licenses for the software? If so, it may be an OK deal but if not, don't even think about it.

Remember, you're gonna have to pay shipping as well.

I wouldn't go anything less than a P4. 512mb is the minimum for XP.

Definitely go for the extra memory. The onboard graphics is a minus. The hard drive is small. But, if all you want to do is browse the Internet, then it won't slow you down. The actual speed at which you browse the internet will be dependent upon your bandwidth (how fast your Internet connection is) and not constrained by this machine.

It depends on what you are using now, and that system is about 4 years old. It's not going to be an internet powerhouse by any means, but if you have a much older PC, it is a step up.

Might want to consider something new, as you can get a decent PC for under $600.

it is a pretty good deal for surfing the web and a few other apps at the same time and fairly reasonable price for a change i would add the extra memory though just to make sure of future needs as the processor will be upgradeable so yeah kudos on the find
