Longest cricket match lasted ten days, between england and south africa, and it was a draw. this happened in 1939. there used to be no time limit on test matches, but because of the world war 2 was heating up the ship that was supposed to take the english players back had to leave, so they had to call it a draw. england won the 5 match series 1-0.

there are time constraints in cricket ..
there are three version of the game, which one are u referring to?
T/20 = 2 1/2 Hours
ODIs = 7 hrs
Test = 5 days

Ninder got it right. The so called "timeless test" was planned to be played until there was a result, but they had to end it early so the English could leave.
