Almost all of Texas is in the same time zone as Chicago; the very western-most tip is in the Mountain time zone. So if you live in El Paso, you are an hour behind Chicago; otherwise, it is the same.

Do you know Texas is in two time zones ? so it could be off by one hour.depinding on what time zone you are in
