I was talking with a friend about a person we both knew. My friend said, I don't think they are pretty, but attractive. OK, what's the difference? Thanks

Why didn't you ask your friend?
My opinion: Pretty is someone you think is well, pretty. Atractive is someone that you know is good looking but not someone who you would be like "Oh he/she's hot!" Thats my guess. I know alot of people who 90% of the world would think they're good looking, but I don't even though they're obviously attractive.
Make sense? Kinda confusing I know.. but I tried.

I think that pretty applies to both the inside and the outside. Attractive just applies to the outer part of a person and not their personality. A person can be beautiful on the outside, but horribly ugly on the inside. Understand?

I think saying someone's attractive means there's something or things that would make you want to be with that person in some way( in other words, you're attracted to them), whereas saying someone's pretty means that they are, well, pretty, but you don't think about being with that person in anyway.

Attractive and pretty are the same but i would assume she meant attractive as if the person was average .

well i think u can acknowledge that someone is pretty but ur not attracted to like while i think brad pitt is good looking iam attracted to jude law he has sex appeal

I think that you can have a lot of personal magnetism and not be traditionally pretty, maybe that's it
