Ok... so what is this war in Iraq or Iran or that country that begins with an 'I' all about? Why doesn't Bush and America and some other countries just leave that country that the war is all about alone? I DON'T GET IT ANYMORE! ITS ALL TOO CONFUSING! Somebody explain this to me in simpler terms. Are oil and gas the same thing? No nevermind that, about the war thing. So I'm stupid. Ok, just tell me please!

We're currently at war with Iraq. After the 9/11 attacks, we occupied Afghanistan in hopes of finding and taking down Osama Bin Laden (the one who is supposedly responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Although, that was never proven.). From there President Bush moved our troops into Iraq saying that Saddam Hussein was aiding and embedding the terrorist, and that Saddam was creating WMD's (Weapons of Mass Destruction). This was later found to be false. At that point, President Bush said we were there to give the Iraqi people freedom and democracy (how he got this idea from the 9/11 attacks, I'll never know.)

The attacks weren't that bad at first. But, over time, this actually turned out to work in the Taliban, and Al-qaeda's favor as a recruiting tool. Now, the attacks are worse than before and the Iraqi people aren't free. All we've seem to do is take over oil fields and run pipelines. The soldiers in Iraq are currently guarding these and teaching the Iraqi people to do the same. We're supposed to be giving the money made from the oil back to help rebuild the country. But, recently, when we attempted that, the $12,000,000,000 came up missing. How someone loses that much money in cash is beyond me (it was sent in dollar bills on a C-130). Currently we're at a stand still, as far as progress goes. This war benefits no one, except CEO's of oil companies. That's not an opinion, that's a fact. The Taliban and the Al-qaeda have grown stronger, and we've started a civil war between the Sunni's and the Shi'a, as they fight for control of the country. A complete opposite of what was planned. This war is a mess. George dubya needs to realize that we can't force our way of thinking on them.

OH! and as a bonus for ya:

Gasoline is produced in oil refineries. Material that is separated from crude oil via distillation, called virgin or straight-run gasoline, does not meet the required specifications for modern engines (in particular octane rating; see below), but will form part of the blend.

The bulk of a typical gasoline consists of hydrocarbons with between 5 and 12 carbon atoms per molecule.

Many of these hydrocarbons are considered hazardous substances and are regulated in the United States by OSHA. The MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for unleaded gasoline shows at least fifteen hazardous chemicals occurring in various amounts from 5% to 35% by volume of gasoline. These include big names like benzene (up to 5% by volume), toluene (up to 35% by volume), naphthalene (up to 1% by volume), trimethylbenzene (up to 7% by volume), MTBE (up to 18% by volume) and about 10 others. Ref: (Tesoro Petroleum Companies, Inc. [5])

The various refinery streams blended together to make gasoline all have different characteristics. Some important streams are:

Reformate, produced in a catalytic reformer with a high octane rating and high aromatic content, and very low olefins (alkenes).
Cat Cracked Gasoline or Cat Cracked Naphtha, produced from a catalytic cracker, with a moderate octane rating, high olefins (alkene) content, and moderate aromatics level. Here, "cat" is short for "catalyst".
Hydrocrackate (Heavy, Mid, and Light), produced from a hydrocracker, with medium to low octane rating and moderate aromatic levels.
Virgin or Straight-run Naphtha (has many names), directly from crude oil with low octane rating, low aromatics (depending on the crude oil), some naphthenes (cycloalkanes) and no olefins (alkenes).
Alkylate, produced in an alkylation unit, with a high octane rating and which is pure paraffin (alkane), mainly branched chains.
Isomerate (various names) which is obtained by isomerising the pentane and hexane in light virgin naphthas to yield their higher ocatane isomers.
(The terms used here are not always the correct chemical terms. They are the jargon normally used in the oil industry. The exact terminology for these streams varies by refinery and by country.)

Overall a typical gasoline is predominantly a mixture of paraffins (alkanes), naphthenes (cycloalkanes), aromatics and olefins (alkenes). The exact ratios can depend on

the oil refinery that makes the gasoline, as not all refineries have the same set of processing units.
the crude oil used by the refinery on a particular day.
the grade of gasoline, in particular the octane rating.
Currently many countries set tight limits on gasoline aromatics in general, benzene in particular, and olefins (alkene) content. This is increasing the demand for high octane pure paraffin (alkane) components, such as alkylate, and is forcing refineries to add processing units to reduce the benzene content.

Gasoline can also contain some other organic compounds: such as organic ethers (deliberately added), plus small levels of contaminants, in particular sulfur compounds such as disulfides and thiophenes. Some contaminants, in particular thiols and hydrogen sulfide, must be removed because they cause corrosion in engines

the easy objection in the back of a warfare is to end that warfare. precisely how the warfare will be ended relies upon on the reason the warfare began. even if a warfare is justified or no longer relies upon on why the pleasing countries were given in touch. each and each warfare is particularly diverse and there are a recommendations too many combos of the criteria I absolutely have said to address everywar an similar and to sweepingly say that each and each body wars are unjustified. virtually all wars have an instantaneous effect on civilian lives notwithstanding it really is inevitable, and because there has been a warfare someplace interior the international because the starting up of the first international warfare, we ought to commence searching previous the civilian deaths and casualties when we evaluate even if a warfare is justified or no longer. that does no longer advise ignore concerning the civilians, if human beings can help harmless civilians laid low with warfare then it really is obviously a reliable element. warfare can convey about peace, it really is in simple terms that at the same time as there's a warfare, there is not any room for peace at that think about time. If after a warfare, the leaders of the defeated area have their means taken away then there is skill for peace between the hot leaders and the leaders of the prevailing area, an celebration being the resultant peace between the opposing sides after the second one international warfare, Britain and Germany are at peace, regardless of if there remains a moderate bitterness that has lasted 2 or 3 generations in some human beings, neither Brit or German would favor for more suitable warfare. an similar is going for u.s. and Japan. perhaps the way ahead for the realtionship between Iraq and u.s. will be a peacful one, it really is only a count number of time.

The President cooked evidence that Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD's) like nerve gas and nuclear bombs. He gave the cooked data to Congress who voted to authorize it (only they have the power to declare war). Bush invaded, 3100+ of our troops have died, uncounted thousands of innocent Iraqis have too, and the place now has one religious group fighting another religious group for control - Civil War. Our troops are caught in the middle, and Bush won't leave. Congress now can vote to force him to bring them home, but the balance of power is precarious. This is where we are today.

There is no proof whatsoever Iraq was training and supporting terrorism, and no WMD's were ever found. To claim otherwise is at best deceptive, and at worst a lie.

Ok it is real simple! The war started because we were attacked. The terrorist operated openly out of Afghanistan. We retaliated against Afghanistan. Then we found out without a doubt that Iraq was funding the terrorist and even training them. Then we demanded that Iraq help us capture and punish the people responsible to which they replied no, and continued to support the attackers. Then we went to Iraq and cut off the support. That is basically what has happened. Now we have to get a better plan for turning Iraq back over to their own people but we have to support them until they can support themselves or we have accomplished nothing. Boy you liberals will not be denied. If that is not what happened in your world you probably shouldn't watch cartoon network for informational purposes. Thumb me again it will not change the truth.

Simple - IRAQ has oil - greedy George Bush wants it.

It has nothing to do with September 11.

Our leader (i use that term lightly) will do anything Georgie boy wants him to do, so he sent our Aussie troops off to help get the oil.
