I say the internet becaue you can do anything on it. You can shop, watch video, get information, etc. What do you think is the greatest invention over the last 50 years

I do not believe we can have a single greatest invention of the last 50 years because so much has happened and more importantly, some inventions built on top of previous ones.
In the case of the internet, that would not have been possible without cheap PCs in so many homes and workplaces which would not have been possible without a standardized operating system.
Therefore if I had to pick one, it would be the Personal Computer because it has affected business and society so much AND it is the fundamental building block of so many OTHER incredible inventions

2 opportunities: a million> area flight and touchdown a guy on moon and return (1969) and 2> the internet. the different responder who reported AIR flight--that grow to be over one hundred years in the past (Wright Brothers-1903) and not in final 50 years.
