Which kind of rock tumbler is best, one that rolls or the vibrating kind?

I've used a "traditional" tumbler. Want to know the results using a vibrating one. I know the traditional method takes much longer. Stones are more rounded. Is the shape changed drastically with the other kind of tumbler?
