The measure of an angle is 24 less than twice it supplement.
If x= the measure of the angle, which equation must be true?

a. x=2(90 -x) -24

b. x+24=2(180-x)

c. x=2(x-180) -24

d. X +24 = 2(x-90)

please explain all of the answers and how you came up with the final answer

well since it says 24 less than, you already know you will have a
-24, in the problem. If you wanted twice the supplement of a number you would just multiply the supplement by 2, correct? Twice the supplement = the supplement times two... right? But the prolem is you do not know the supplement. Since supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees, you know the number "x" plus its supplement equals 180 degrees. To represent the supplement of x you should write (180-x). Once you subtract x from 180 you will be left with the supplement.

So, now back to the problem. we have established -24 is probably the most obvious part.

Twice the supplement would be 2(180-x) The two represents multiplying the supplement by two, and 180-x represents the supplement to x, which I explained earlier.

so x=2(180-x) -24
