my neck pick up is about 2.5 cm from touching the strings.. does something need to be fixed?

strings are: skinny top heavey bottom = ernie ball strings
gauge: 10,12,17,30,42,52
bridge pick up is about 1.5 cm from touching strings

YES!! it's either a truss rod issue, or your bridge is set way too high. if you know haw to fix them on your own, do it now. if not, take it in to somebody who knows how to do it.
