I'm considered "older" and I like older men too. They have a sense of stability in their lives, often are more experienced with life and matters sexual, and dang! They can just be plain HOT!

Im a 25 yr old gay guy just so you know. Alot of you answering are talking about this father figure crap, which I don't agree with. Sounds like some freudian BS.

If you like older guys than you like older guys, it doesn't have to mean anything. Like some of the other people said, maybe you just don't want to deal with the immaturity and games that younger people play, and you like the stability. Maybe you are just attracted to the bear types.

Father figure, give me a break. What, do you think of a parental figure sexually, thats disgusting.

Mature men are more responsible, stable, father figure and less competitive to handle with. But foremost,if the older men looks like Tom Selleck,George Clooney,Sean Connery,Tom Cruise,Mel Gibson who needs younger one hahahaha!

I think mostly they (younger guys) are tired of the immature games that younger people can play. Of course older guys are more mature, for the most, then younger guys. Older guys offer strength, security and a stability. They tend to be more secure with themselves and who they are.

The same reason females do:

Do you want to visit your boyfriend at his mother's, or would you like for him to have his own place? . . .Would you like your boyfriend to be at an age where he goes out every weekend, or would you like one who prefer's a warm night in? . . .Would you like a gift for Valentine's Day, or do you prefer to exchange cards?

Older men GENRALLY have security, and this does not necessarily mean monitary security. They have secure jobs (responsibility), homes (sleep overs) and generally want a relationship (commitment).

This is not an absolute, but by majority more correct than not.

Some guys need a father figure for them to love. Others just prefer the maturity and sound life they represent and have.

Admittedly, it's the father image, probably. In my heart I know that younger guys who have hooked up with me have been more interested in adult approval and affection than in sex, even if they are gay (and some weren't). Which is not to discount that older experienced people are much more interesting and better conversationalists than young ones.

Dunno to be honest. I like older men at their 40's-50's.
Could never explain it, young guys just dont do it for me. A mature man, in suit and a charm is what I really like.
I am not into the daddy/son thing though, really hate this concept.

the father figure they didn't get from their own dad, or their dad passed away in their early age lead them to look for that figure.

i'm one of them. initially just want an older man to treat me well like a kid. but later become wanting to bed them. they are irresistable sexy and experience.
