What do 19th century liberalism have in common with 19th century conservatism? I've researched a lot and I can see they are two completely different idealogies, but I can't find what the have in common.I'm in desperate need of help.

Thanks!

They both want life to be good. America is liberal in 19th Century respects, which is good. Our system of right and left is different from the 19th century system.

well they both think they know whats best for the country for starters. Hmmmm........... They both wanted to abolish slavery( though the conservative side wanted to do abolish it more than liberals). They also wanted to appeal to the comman man. Later in the 20th century conservatism became what it is today thanks to the Reagan era and the liberals are the tards they are today because of god damn hippies and their bongs.

Both think they are correct, and no one can claim that they are right about everything all the time.
Both sides want to improve America, but now adays they rarely want to work each other to do it.

I'm siding with the party that unites and does not try to dominate... period.
