If you are writing an academic paper why would you use wikipedia? They are not an academic source. Are you citing APA, MLA, or Blue Book?

Wikipedia is NEVER a good source to cite for an academic paper that is going to be graded, instead look at the list of SOURCES for the wikipedia entry, check those out, especially if they are books and not just articles, THEN do a search for similar articles (easy to do in Google).
Always remember that Wikipedia is open-source, pretty much anybody can add and subtract and while they do their best to be accurate, accuracy in whose opinion is always important because he/she who writes history creates history.
One more thing, try this experiment if you have time: Get two plants in pots (as in just started growing, not adult). Microwave some water and always use that to water one plant while boiling water and feeding that to the other plant. Do this for 10 days to 2 weeks and see what happens (I will spoil it: Guess what? The plant that got the boiled water is fine but the one that got water boiled in a microwave has pretty much died - go search for it)

Please do not cite, Wiki. Its not a real source just regular people entering in infomation. Does not mean that info is not correct but it is not from a legitmate source. Read it for background info but get your real info from real sources.

yes you have to give them credit for their information put down the URL then the date and time you visited (you must put the entire url for the exact site you got the info from to give full credit)
