Once again, the texas defense will be the game-maker or the back-breaker. Lots of question marks with the new d-coordinater MacDuff and the inexperience in the secondary. However, I will be genuinely surprised if texas does not finish this season with a top 3 offense. Colt McCoy, when healthy was the best quarterback in the big-12. This season, he is coming in ranked #1. and 2005 offensive freshman of the year, Jamaal Charles is ranked #2 preseason among big 12 running backs. And as if that weren't enough, starting X, Y, Z and TE are all coming back (billy pittman, Quan Cosby, Limas Sweed (#4 big-12), and Jermichael Finley). Also, the game is late enough in the season that all the puppies in the defensive unit should have some things clicking.

I pick Texas, 42-14

Texas, hands down. Colt McCoy wasn't Big 12 Player of the Year for nothing.

I say Texas wins 28-14.
