I don't know how it could get worse no matter who takes office. I would hope it would be Hillary Clinton. I think with her experience and her time as first lady she has the best chance of getting the country back in the right direction. Torture, secret prisons, changing the constitution, all the bad that Bush has done. It will take work but I think she can do it.

One theory is that he will nuke Iran shortly before leaving office. That would make things quite a bit worse. Whoever comes after him will have to find a resolution to the Iraq War and that will be bad, however it ends. The debt to China will continue to rise, they can pretty much order the US around as they chose. Business decisions that ought to be made in New York or Detroit will be made in Tokyo or Shanghai. It is very unfortunate the supreme ct. stole the 2000 election for Mr. Bush. I don't see any way out of the grave he and the Republicans and the supreme ct. have dug for this country. It was nice while it lasted.

I believe Bush and Cheney will not be able to leave the United States because they are already wanted for war crimes in other countries. I am hoping it won't be too late to restore our country and the Constitution to something comparable to what it was before Bush stole the presidency. I would like to see Al Gore as president. I am hoping that there will be a glimmer of hope for a better future than we have now.

The bells will ring, the people will cheer, airplanes will fly overhead.. I think schoolkids will get the day off... and there will be a general release of breath... I for one shall say Thank God.
But seriously.. it can't help but be better.. anything is better than his socialism. Who will come after, I don't know.. perhaps Hillary, or Edwards or Obama.. maybe Giuliani.. Heck even me.. Anyone at all will do a better job.
I just hope he doesn't leave us in the middle of world war three!

I think that the World will become a MUCH SAFER place. Bush makes a mess out of his Government and since he is in power nobody takes the US seriously. I am so sad that such a great Nation is lead by such a MORON as he is...

Things will probably get worse since I doubt the next president will be anywhere near as trigger-happy as Bush is, yet somehow the American public will have an overwhelming sense of satisfaction about how the president is FINALLY listening to their demands for peace. :S

How bout the most well-deserved "sign" the world has ever known. Anyone elected will be better than Bush--any candidates pet would be better than Bush. 25 years of Conservative philosophies--Generation to fix them. From Nov. 7th forward I think you'll see a more publicly inclusive Gov't--the blogoshpere combined with the Labor movement will be essential tools in getting America back into shape.
Any Dem will do.

If a liberal gets in office they will pull all the troops out of Iraq and the insurgents will celebrate victory then it will become a stronghold for worldwide terrorism again. This time teaming up with Iran to be nuclear terrorist.
