The Great Pyramid of Khufu has a square base that covers about 53,000m2(exp.size). About how long is each side of the base?

If the sides are equal in length, you need to take the square root of the area to get the length of the sides.

In this case, the area of the base if 53,000 square meters.

The square root of 53000m2 = 230.22m.

You should have a square root button on your calculator. Type in 53000 and hit the square root button.

If you multiply 230.22m X 230.22m you get 53,000m2.
