boy is that verrry mean. honestly, dont bother calling that your best friend. What I would do first, is try to pull her over...and TELL HER OFF(kidding, that would make her want to make more rumors about you). What you should do is try and pull her aside, and honestly tell her what you feel. If you think that that is a little too kind, then begin to ignore her, or write her a short letter that will both make her realize that what she is doing is wrong and that she is missing out on a great friendship that really could last a lifetime. You should also tell those who she told not to talk to you that you two got into a fight, so this is her silly idea of revenge...they'll realize whose wrong in this situation

Distance this friend, and if people ask you about it, just answer honestly without dissing your friend. Don't stoop to her level. The people worth knowing get what is happening, the others are not really worth a close friendship anyway. When things cool down, ask your (best) friend what happened and how can it be put in the past. If she doesn't want to be friends any more, there is nothing you can do about it. You tried and did your best. People grow emotionally at different rates and sometimes just don't have much in common any more. Part of life. Surround yourself with friends who accept you as you are.

well, pretty soon you will graduate from middle school, but in the meantime:
if she's being mean and you are not (you've tried to make up) then i'd just forget about her. She's not really your friend if she hates you and stuff...
Be sure to not retaliate, don't spread rumors or say bad stuff about her. Just ignore her, and just remember that she's playing dirty and being immature. Don't sink to her level, hopefully, when you're around people who are real and mature, you can find some true friends.

Quit being friends with her...you were obviously mistaken.
Look them straight in the eye and say, "I'm sorry, I thought you were somebody else." and never look back. That person is a stranger to you and anything they say against you will come back double on them. When people bad mouth others...even if it is true...it always makes them seem worse.
You can't throw mud without getting quite a bit of mud on yourself. Just leave it alone and dodge mud balls until the children quite fighting. Ignore it and be self sufficient and boldly stand alone.

You drop her as a friend. Seriously. I used to take that when I was little. I wish I would have put some people in their place back then.

Tell her she's not your best friend anymore because of how she has treated you and therefore you have lost all your trust in her. Sound like you must be in junior high because that's what junior high kids do.

i've gotten in fights with my best friends before, but never, NEVER have they done this. if they would honestly do this to hurt you, then they aren't your friend.
think about it, would a true friend be out to hurt you, even if you're in a fight?

Stop being her BEST FRIEND, because she was NEVER your friend. Realize that you are better than what she has become and find new friends.
