They would not be interchangeable.

A cam from an SOHC only has half as many lobes as one from a DOHC. And cams from different size engines aren't compatible. The one from the bigger engine might be bigger, or smaller if the valves are bigger. And the shape of the cam lobes varies for different engines.

what? this is the dumbest thing i've heard yet. the dohc cams are 1 for intake and 1 for exhaust. the sohc cam does both. cannot interchange them between the engines..

You can't use a camshaft from a double overhead cam engine in a single overhead cam engine. The drive gears would be different and the cam journals are in totally different places.
