What day does the pregnancy start, exactly? Is it the same day after having sex with the father, or the day after?

Sometime around the 28th of December. Pregnancy happens the second conception takes place. Your best chances of getting pregnant happen 2 weeks after your last period so check that out on your calendar.

By the way, @ 8 weeks It is now possible to hear the baby's heartbeat. You should ask your Dr. about hearing it! :)

you cant pinpoint exact conception date this early if at all. I'm 11 wks and the doc has changed how far along i am a couple times. so u can calculate but you will still only be able to narrow it down to about a 4-5 day time period. pregnancy starts after the implantation which is i think 3 days after insemination. the doc starts counting from last period date.

Your doctor will actually start counting from the first day of your last period - that is day one of your cycle and you concieved in that cycle. So by the time a woman misses a period the doctor would count it as about 4 weeks pregnant depending on the length of your cycle. You can go to www.mymonthlycycles.com They have a bunch of calculators that will help figure everything out.

They count pregnancy from your last menstrual period. In theory you ovulate about 14 days after that ( actually that isn't true, but it's as close as you're going to get for this calculation). Sperm can live up to 5 days. Of course ovulation can occur earlier or later.

So about Feb 8th to the 15th is the narrowest estimate.

I believe you got pregnant around the 27th or 28th of December. You will probably get a better idea of the exact date by using a pregnancy calculator. Try this one . . . http://healthlink.mcw.edu/article/923526833.html. Good luck to you and congrats!!!

sperm lives for up to 72 hours. you may never know when the conception date is. the due date is just a guess.
