If it had been Bill Clinton or Al Gore or better yet Hilary Clinton would the conservatives be celebrating or not?
US Patriotism today, has little do with being patriotic but has a lot to do with politics.

No one's celebrating anything. Cheney didn't even hear anything, much less encounter a brush with death. His hunting partners have been closer to death than Dick ever has been!

Liberals in America are VERY Patriotic! I am tired of Cons constantly complaining that they are NOT Patriotic!
They are Patriotic to Venezuela, Russia, Burma, France, just about any country EXCEPT the USA. So you cannot say they are unpatriotic, they are great Patriots, much like Jules and Ethel Rosenberg.
