I find it really weird that the Jags D is top tier when they play at home, but drastically drops in away games. If you could extrapolate their home stats to all their games, they'd easily have the best D in the league (If I remember correctly, at the point I learned of this difference, their home avg. points given up was less than 8!! --their 2 shut-outs didn't hurt).
I'm a fan of great Ds and I'm sorry to say their's is hardly ever mentioned. You always hear about BAL and their big-name players, or NE and Belicheck's great scheming, but the Jags are constantly one of the leagues best Ds and they've got good players in John Henderson & Marcus Stroud (tied w/MN for the best DT tandem in the league), Mike Peterson @ MLB, and Donavan Darius @ SS. They may slip a bit losing Deon Grant to the FA, but I'm sure they'll still be in the upper echelon (spl?) of defenses next year
Of course, the Jags are an under the radar team anyways --in 05 they went 12-4 and still were hardly mentioned.

yeah I am with ya! I love Jacksonville they are the most underated team. No Sports shows ever talk about them and when they do it's like for a split second. I hope they come out this year and totally kick a$$. Then maybe they will get the respect they deserve.
