Why do we have stereotypes of people? for example.. most people expect black people to be all like, yo yo yo wassup?! Or how people expect blondes to be dumber than a sack of hammers? I mean, some black people don't say that kind of stuff, and some blondes are very smart. Why do we judge people on how they look? You can't know a person's personality just because they are black or blonde or something..

its simple people dont do their homework. They never get a chance to interact with people in real life. You can thank tv for all these stereotypes. Most stereotypes are based of tv or movies anyway. Its just that people assume that its correct and applies to all people in that group instead of doing their research and treating each person like an individual.

I think it's just because it's easier to make fun of people that way. I'm a nerd that does nothing but study all day, but of course I don't really do that. I don't stay glued to Discovery documentaries when I'm watching the television, nor do I listen to Beethoven, Bach, and Mozart.

In fact, I love watching Spongebob, and my favorite band is Pink Floyd.

It's easier for me to fit in that "nerd" niche and for everyone to tease me if what I do is believed to be uncool.
