Of course not. People who think like that, they feel that way because they would feel un-comfortable stepping out of their comfort zone, which is dating their own race. They probably figure there will be some differences dating someone of another race. I think it should have to do more with how they present themselves, and if they are compatible with you is what should matter. Example: Say you are Black, grew up in an urban neighborhood, been around hip hop/r&b music all your life, yet you like rock music, or skateboarding, you know things outside a "typical" black person's life. I'm that way, and my family thinks I'm weird because I like Rock, pop, and country music, also I am attracted to Pakistani men or just many different kind of men period. I've dated Black, Puerto Rican, a Indian guy, and a Pakistani guy, and there is no difference. Maybe with certain life styles, but they are all great guys, most of them.

No, it is NOT bad at all... I mean, it is your decision, and everyone else's opinion doesn't matter as long as you love each other...
I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with that. I agree with you; it's perfectly fine. So go ahead and don't let other people's critics stop you from dating someone you love.

Of course I don't think it's bad! Otherwise I wouldn't be with who I'm with now. People are people. A person's race does not define whether or not they're a good person.

I agree .. but everyone has the right to choose what they feel is best for them. the "bad" part comes in when someone tries to impose their views on someone else.

Underneath, we are all human, so the skin tone really is not that big of a deal, IMHO.
