How do you make a model volcano explode.....?

like a clay volcano......what ingredents to make it explode...like baking soda and in what order do u do it in

Baking Soda and Vinegar...its easier to put the baking soda in then add the vinegar when you want it to erupt...and put some red food coloring in :)

to make a clay volcano u need to make a cone with its top cut off. then get 4 cups of baking soda and put the volcano on top. make sure that the bottoms have no holes and that no water can come out of the whole. make sure also that the baking soda is right underneath the hole. then get about 4 1/2 cups of vinegar and pour it in very quickly, this then should create a chemical reaction and then bubbles should rise to the surface. it would be more realistic if u put some red food coloring in the vinegar and poke a hole near the spout to make it even more realistic!
