Or did the nuclear bomb dropped by the United States kill them all?

Okay, I'll play in your world...
To begin with, it's Rodan. Rodin was the sculptor who did "The Thinker."
And if you really watch those movies, you find that the Japanese don't consider those monsters an "infestation." In several of the movies, those three band together to save the planet from all sorts of nasties. Nobody really seems to mind rebuilding Tokyo after one of their duels with the bad alien critters. And have you noticed that the children seem to have a special rapport with them, particularly with Godzilla?
And by the way, it was the A-bomb that -caused- the monsters to begin with.

Well, infestation is a kind of a loaded word... it's more of a "scheduled visitation" kind of thing. You'll want to review the "Rent-a-zilla" strips of Megatokyo.

And if you're looking at visiting areas of the world that may be infested by giant monsters, you might want to listen to an appropriate episode of Geek Survival Guide, which specifically addresses the problem of daikaijuu (giant japanese rubbery monsters).

Yeah. You'd have to bring a titanium umbrella with you everywhere to deflect the flames from their fights. There's even an afternoon gambling program where you can bet on who wins the fights between the monsters. The odds are a killer. Hahaha!

Seriously though, no. those things are fictional. And the only thing killed by the nuclear bomb were people.

Ultraman is still around. Other than that, the monsters have shrunk to human size fighting human sized heros.
