Honestly I think it depends on the person because some pregnant women their belly buttoms never poke out. But then again you have some that sticks out. I always think it depends on the gender your having. Most women that is pregnant and having a boy their belly buttoms don't usually poke out and thats because boys sit lower in your belly while the girls sits higher, so the girl is really higher and poking your belly out.

It depends, mine never poked out, it just got flat and my belly was HUGE. If it does tho, it would happen during the last 6 weeks.

That totally depends on the woman! It also depends on how much the Mom weighs, how many babies she is carrying, how large the baby is, Mom's frame, etc.

Generally, if it pops out at all (mine only did with one of my five), it is in the last couple of weeks before the baby comes. But, if you have a tiny Mom and a large baby it could be sooner. If you are a plus sized Mom you may not have it pop out at all...

It is caused by both lack of space in the womb, as well as (generally) when the baby "falls" forward. After you "drop" your baby will generally tilt slightly forward...this is generally the cause of "popping."

When my clients ask me I tell them that "You are like a turkey...when the timmer pops up, you know you are ready!" Seriously though, if it happens, it will happen in the last couple of weeks before birth...maybe even days before birth.

Congratulations on your new little blessing!
