When there is prosecution in the Court of Justice, the investigation of the case filed is hearing in lay mans term. It means the complete investigation of the case in order for you to obtain justice for you maybe an ignorant on the case filed or undoubtedly proclaimed to be convicted of such crime you have committed. Study Law in order to understand all about the law of the state. Civil law or criminal law b ut not spiritual law.

That's just a court term. What you said is commonly referred to as a joke for things like an icebreaker or to open up a comedy routine. It is pretty funny though.
