Let v be the final velocity.

Given: initial velocity =10m/s

Final Kinetic energy, KE'=Initial Kinetic Energy, KE*1/2

Kinetic Energy =1/2mv^2

Substitute given values:

KE'=1/2mv^2
KE=1/2m*10^2

KE'=KE*1/2
1/2mv^2=1/2m*10^2*1/2
v^2=100*1/2
v^2=50
v=7.07m/s
