my period is 5 days late but all my test came back negative. i have never been late except twice and i have two kids to show for it. my periods are always regular. they are 25 days apart. what could be causing me to be late or the tests to be negative.

Could just be you dont have enough hcg in your urine yet for a test to show a positive...or maybe its just an off month....maybe get a blood test which would tell you for sure before wasting more money on urine tests! Good Luck!

I don't know if you are truly pregnant but it is HIGHLY possible that you are still pregnant while using HPT's, I had a person from Planned Parenthood tell me that it was very common for Pregnancy Tests to come back negative if the body wasn't producing enough of the HPT hormone to show up. If I were you, I would just go to the Doctor where the blood tests are much more accurate- good luck!

Stress can cause you to have late periods. Other female medical conditions can cause it as well. The only true way to know if you are pregnant is to get a blood test. Sometimes you can get a false negative with a pregnancy test. I would just get blood work done to reassure yourself.

Yes, you still could be pregnant. False negatives happen all the time. Wait a few days and test again. Dollar Tree sells preg tests if you wanna get one there to save $ in case you have to test a few times. Good luck. :)

You could still be pregnant...........just wait a couple days and take another test.........some women dont produce enough pregnancy hormones right away so their test comes back negative.....but if your second test is still negative and this is unusual for you to miss your period...see your doctor

hCG doubles in your system every two days so it may not have entered your urine yet or it may not be highly concentrated. I would wait a few days or get a blood test from your Dr. Good Luck!!
