He is BSing. An injunction is NOT what a court would/could issue in a custody case. The court would issue a custody ruling.

I don't know what would happen with different states involved. Just be sure you haven't violated a prior custody ruling because that could cause you problems!

I'm assuming there is no custody order currently in place, since you said you 'want' to file for full custody.

Your ex may very well not be BSing you. If you left the state with the child, he has the right to go to court and request a court order requiring you to return the child to the state (that’s what I’d do if my spouse, or ex-boyfriend as the case may be, left the state with my children), and he may very well get it, so be prepared for that (very real) possibility.

You are not allowed to leave the state with your child unless a judge says its ok. If you are moving from say Alabama to Michigan, its considered not in the best interest of the child to have one parent move to a different state, If a judge agrees, he can force you to move to the state of the other parent.
My girlfriend re married and tried to move from Illinois to Florida and the judge forced her to return home.
