I find myself stopping at the local Wendy's fast food restaurant frequently (afterschool, work, late night, etc.) I usually order the same thing everytime, Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers, 5 piece Chicken Nuggets, and a Side Salad. I think it is safe to say that I am addicted to this stuff because it is soo good and way better than eating at McDonalds or Burger King. Do you think eating at Wendy's on a regular basis is healthy? Even if I am getting the side salads and Baked Potatoes? Do you think it is healthier than eating at McDonald's, Burger King or Taco Bell? Or is it just as bad?

Thanks

Wendy's offers some nice choices for people trying to avoid weight gain too. Try to avoid eating at any restaurant late at night, because without exercise to burn off the calories, it will stick to you as you get older. Burgers and chicken nuggets are high in fat and cholesterol. Avoid eating them every day. Salad at Wendy's is great but like anywhere else, watch out for the fat content in the salad dressing. It is almost a whole days allotment in just one pack. I like Wendy's at our town too. The restaurant is always clean, the cashiers get the order right the first time and everyone is nice. I eat there several times a week too but I get white milk, side salad or 1 of these: uncooked sandwich/chili sm./potato baked-the potato is always too much to eat and I order extra veggies on the sandwich and no special sauces. So much better than the other restaurants mentioned.

A lot if Fast food is Never Healthy for anyone. But you can make it healthy by what you choose to buy. Try switching up the menu a bit with chicken and salads, or Chili. Remember drink water. sometime we eat fast food out of necessity but if it isn't a must you eat at Wendy's I think you would be surprise at the Kind of burger you can make at home in your own oven.

I can't say this is healthy, but healthier than the others you listed. Their chili is pretty healthy. Check their website. The salads and baked potatoes OK. Try the chili on the potato and make it a meal with a salad. Use vinegrettes and light salad dressing. Grilled chicken sandwiches without the bun grilled. Get a hamburger once in a while.

Wendy's is at least using oil that has no trans fats that clog the arteries. They have their nutrition posted on the wall and you can check for calories. Between 1800 to 2500 calories a day are enough. All fast food is too fatty and has too much sugar. Try eating at home a free days a week. Go on line and print out the nutrition guide for McDonald's and Burger Kings and compare the calories, fat, and sugar.

Depends on the amount of exercise you get. If you are eating that, once a day, then it shouldn't be a problem if you walk or bike or get regular exercise. On the other hand, if you fly a couch and watch the tube and you have Wendy's on speed dial, then probably not :)

Wendy's has it's share of unhealthy food, just like the others, but push comes to shove, it is probably marginally healthier.

You should exercise a lot.I don't know if it's healthy, what I do know is it smart?Imagine how much money you spend in a month. You could be doing some other things with all that dough instead of eating it.

no i do not think it is healthy. however, too much of anything is not healthy. just try to limit what you eat there. the salad is not bad, so try to do that and then pick one other thing you enjoy. and switch it up every few nights.

Wendys cooks fries in good oil--no transfats--that is better than McTransfat fries--but Mc is working on changing also.
