POINT PROVEN

Emotions of the moment. 9/11 was still fresh on people's minds. The term "terrorism" was used way too often. Anthrax, the talk about Saddam's and Iraq's WMD program, bio weapons, etc. I was even for the war, but I thought it was going to be a 3-month battle, not unlike Iraq 1 in the early 90's.

A lot of psychology were used for the purposes of going to war. Fear clouded American emotions.

Since then, a lot of the reasons for going to war were proven wrong. Let's move on to a Dem President in 2008 and years to come and let's keep this country going on the right track. THE BEST TRACK!!!

The actual vote was to allow the President to use force IF NECESSARY to search for weapons of mass destruction (WMDs.) There was never a vote to authorize war. Bush did that all by himself. He just has not been challenged on this point of the law; a violation of the Constitution "...only the Congress shall declare war...."

For 4 years the Republican controlled Congress had stifled any and all attempts to challenge Bush and his policies. As the news has shown recently, that has changed since the Democrats took control of Congress.

There are ony 23 more months of the Bush-Cheney regime. Then the real terror (our lost freedoms and privacy) will be over at last.

Because they were lied to and blah blah blah...

So if they easily fell for the lie that they consider, are they suitable to run our nation?

It's like thinking welfare is a "fair and balanced relief for the poor", but then they never think about the middle class who will be as well paying for "equal medical opportunities" for those who will not work. Couldn't that middle class spend that money on something like stocks, or luxuries?

The repubs may make the poor more poor, but they have not abolished the working class, and the rich get more rich, but that is what they are working for.

Democrats just want to freeze these standards which will simply issue a "no way out" for those in their class.

if people are living off others money and enjoy it.... They will find no reason to make their own means of survival. This is what welfare has taught us.

They feared being called "liberals"! Instead of taking ownership of the label and proudly stating what liberalism stands for as opposed to what the GOP defines it as, they played along with the "who is the most patriotic game". I am gravely disappointed in the DEMS, who I believe should have followed the lead of Howard Dean instead of acting like the politicians they are.

what r u saying!? the President was Bush at the time of war, A REPUBLICAN. give more evidence that it was the DEMOCRATS!

Dems thought that Bush was telling the truth about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, that's 1 reason they voted for the war.

Yah! The democrats were stupid to believe everything that Bush said about all the weapons Saddam supposedly had. If they had known the truth the voting would have been much different. A Democrat president would have sent special forces in to take him out, not troops to get killed.

Cause everyone believed that Bushy-Bush had all the intelligence that we needed to go to war. Then we realize that they were filming donut shops and fire trucks and people barbecuing in the night. Intelligence my friend was the problem. But then again, not just intelligence...but intell like a round peg forced through a square hole. They knew they were lying and they went forward with ill motives. Bad karma dude.

So their cronies in the press could have something to harp on Bush about.

Blackmail. They screwed around on their wives and Bush has pictures (just like he has on Republicans).
