Today I received dun from this outfit asking for money to stop NAFTA. I don't know whether NAFTA is bad or good nor who is behimd this Selous outfit. Can anyone provide answers?

They are just a bunch of uneducated lobbyists! It's a special interest group that believes the government brings prosperity and that by stopping economic growth, the people of America will be better. Selous is not worth your time. Without NAFTA people would be worse off than ever. Competitive markets bring about the highest wages, low prices, and best quality products. So many people do not understand economics but they get a vote. Please read Henry Hazlitt's Economics In One Lesson. It's a good start reader which will help you get an understanding of why politics is so corrupt, why competitive markets produce the best outcomes, and why freedom is needed for personal choice and the best economic efficiency. There are many other books I can recommend to you but please don't do what the liberals do(which is only see one side of things.) Many people don't understand why things are privately owned instead government run. Also, read the communist manifesto! Great theory but everytime a nation adopts these policies it fails! Understand why socialism fails and why government interaction actually has lead us to our healthcare crisis. I am not a conspiracy theorist and if there is a conspiracy then voting isn't going to help. Please educate yourself because no one else will! Give freedom to all!
