Whats a prepaid cell phone, how much trouble is it to get one, and how do you get minutes on it?

Please help cuz Im thinking about getting one but Im not much of a phone person so Im not all big on the info with cell phones.

prepaid is like a regular cell,,they work the same,,,you just add minutes,,when your minutes run out,,you can buy a prepaid at about any retail outlet,,walmart,,family dollar,,dollar general,,,for 29 dollars,,to 49 dollars,,with about 30 minutes,,then get refill minutes from them.

They have them at Walmart. Virgin Mobile isn't bad.
