Do not put any parts in the dishwasher - the water is much to hot and the force of the water can damage parts. Take a small plastic tub or bowl and fill with warm water and a small amount of Joy dishwashing liquid. Carefully place in the parts in the bowl and let soak for 30 minutes. Remove and rinse with cool water. Hand dry with soft lint free cloth and replace. This should be done 1x per year to keep your fixture looking its best.

Hi there-

Given that chandelier is typically made of delicate glass, and I wouldn't put my most delicate stemware in the dishwasher as I don't know how hard the pressure is when the jets are working, so, No. I wouldn't think it would be a good idea, however I would recommend talking to the person that sold you your chandelier or better yet, calling the manufacturer to see if it is possible to do so. They are the ones that knows for sure how strong the glass is that was used for the chandelier and would know whether it can be washed in in the d/w or possibly even on a delicate cycle (if that even exists in a dishwasher)....

What my mom does is she uses a J-cloth and windex to clean her chandelier, and although it is painstaking, it gives a brilliant shine.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

I use lemon dish detergent to wash the chandelier,s crystals. It works great-just dunk them in the kitchen sink (plug in of course) Just fill up the kitchen sink as you would to do a load of dishes but only half way approx.wash them then rinse. Automatic dishwashers ruin the finish on dishes, glasses, ect. over time

Yes, light cycle, no heat dry. Remove hot and let them air-dry. And instead of regular DW detergent, which is abrasive, use 2-3 drops only of liquid detergent.

Be sure the metal hooks are brass and not something that will rust.
