If you keep it set to private and only talk to YOUR friends that you know, you should be ok on there. If you feel that worried about it, you should do what makes you feel the safest.

make sure that its private and you only talk to your friends and only accept your friends myspace is dangerous if you don't use it right also dont have your last name like for example just do akghahgioh
and have where you live anywhere you want except where you live like maybe Tonokeiid, Mars you can keep it if you want but if someone strange messages you DELETE IT and dont even reply even if you want to say that that was weird ive gotten people messaging me saying i was pretty and hot and they were all guys that looked at least 30 i know 99.9999% of those people were child mostelators...so just be safe and have fun
in the first place it was just made for teenagers and their friends

i would say that it's probably not the best thing to have a myspace, not neccesarily for the possible threat for bad people finding you, but just for the fact that it's a huge data base for gossip. gossip is already bad enough with out myspace, i would say stay away from it but if you do keep/have one, try not to get consumed by finding out who's a couple or who had a fight and other stuff :) good luck!

I just got one and I am old enough to be your mom. You have to be REAL careful who you let be your friend and be aware there are a lot of sick people out there who lie. If someone sends you a friend request click on their photo 1st- some are viruses or sex sites you don't want to get involved with.
Only add people you know for sure.Talk to your parents

PERSONALY NO CUZ ITS RELLY MESSED UP THAT SITE IS SOOO DRAMATIZED OTHER THEN ITS NOT SAFE ITS THE LINK TO ALL PROBLEMS BETWEEN UR FREINDS AND STUFF I DELETED MINE CUZ OF 3 REASONS 1 IT WASNT SAFE 2 IT CAUSED PROBLEMS 3 TOOK 2 MUCH OF MY TYM SO I THINK U SHOULD DELETE IT
