I don't beleive in banning gay adoption. Gay people have the right to enjoy the joys of parenthood just like everyone else. I think it's wonderful when anyone wants to have a child, no one should be denied that joy. And I don't beleive the child would suffer. All a child needs to grow up healthy is love, and it doesn't matter what sex you are, everyone is capable of giving love to a child. If you are a single dad, a single mom, two mom household, two dad household, whatever, as long as that child is receiving love, they will be fine. There are children who grow up with only a mother, do all of them suffer? Not if the mother is giving her child the love and attention and support and respect that child needs. It's the same for any type of family. A family doesn't have to consist of a mother/ father parentship. The quality of the parenting is what matters. I'm for it. I respect gays rights to live normal lives. Who cares who they choose to have sex with? What does that have to do with anything? How can that determine the kind of parent they are? I beleive they have the right to be parents like all of us. By the way, I'm not gay, I just know what it is like to be a parent and know that there is no greater joy in the world. I could never deny someone that joy.

I do not agree with it. I see so many children out there that need adoption. A gay home would be far better for them than the system of Foster Homes the state has set up. There are bad gay people just like there are bad any other people==give em a brake.

It's wrong, gay parents do not create gay kids. Straight parents can create gay kids.

It's genetic, not a ******* sin. Do not be retarded. Religion has no place in any semblance of science. Although, people can choose to take part in homosexual acts, if it's the social norm.

To whoever made reference to history. You're ******* retarded, by the way. The Greeks had all sorts of gross homosexual relationships (pederasts) and history is replete with homosexuals. Even your precious Bible describes homosexuals. THE BIBLE CAN'T BE WRONG, CAN IT?

Post script: I don't really care about the gay rights movement, it seems kind of stupid to me. I just think that if you're going to formulate an opinion it shouldn't be based on utter bullshit. That is all.

I do agree with that. I think that only straight people should beable to adopt because a child deserve to grow up with a man and a woman and not a woman and a woman or a man and a man. besides that's not the way that God had intended for it to be. I believe that baning gay adoption is wonderful no matter what state it is. It would be so confusing for a child to grow up in one and that's not the way it was souppose to be. I know a lot of people would disagree with me but I don't care. It's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. I am all for baning gay adoption just like I'm all for baning gay marriages because it wasn't souppose to be that way to begin with.

In a perfect world, every child would be born into a loving, two parent home and be raised by his or her biological parents. In the real world, there are unwanted pregnancies, absent fathers (and mothers), child abuse and a foster care system that leaves a lot to be desired. If there are two people who can offer a child a stable, loving home with no abuse or neglect, then the key component in that child's life isn't whether he has a mom and a dad or two moms or two dads. The key component is that he has a family.

i disagree. although the data is incomplete due to lack of accurate records detailing sexual orientation of all adoptive parents, research shows better than average outcomes for children adopted by gay couples. these individuals or couples have actively chosen to become parents, unlike many heterosexual parents whose children may be products of unintended (or worse, unwanted) pregnancies.

as for the argument that gay parents raise gay kids:
#1, so what?
#2, survey people in the gay community and find out how much of their parents' heterosexuality rubbed off on them.

I have nothing against gays except that if a gay couple raised a child, that child would have been influenced by the gay community and may not fit in with a lot of society, depriving it of chances, some respect etc...

I have trouble accepting self-proclaimed moral superiority from the state shaped like a giant penis.
