My husband and I are expecting our first child and my husband is really excited! That's great, but he has started nesting and cleaning the house like crazy. I am only 6 weeks pregnant! Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how do I get him to calm down??

Mine is still cleaning and i am 33 weeks along! Just go with it, why stop such a beautiful thing! Or if you must try to direct him to the yard. Good Luck and Congratulations.

All else fails, send him to our house, he is more than welcome to come clean :)

LoL I thought my husband was the only one that did that.. When I took the test and had a positive result it was within the hour he was in our office cleaning it out to prepare it for the baby.. He went on a total cleaning spree and even did laundry.. It has been 2 weeks now and he has finally returned to his old self.. Just give it time and let him take care of things if thats what he wants to do.. Enjoy the time off if you are getting any....

Lol. My fiance is the same way. Just enjoy it. Do you really want him to calm down? Wait untill your around 7 months and you can't catch a good breath. If hes happily doing all the cleaning, let him do it.

My fiance is CRAZY, I just got him out of the house tonight for the first time in 14 weeks. Now I have PEACE!!!
If he isn't coming in to check on my he is doing household stuff or grabbing my feet and rubbing them, staying up at night to make sure that I am alive, cooking, you name it he does it.
All I have to do is yell "JASON!!!" and he comes running... and I am not even 15 weeks pregnant! I know he is going to be all up in my crotch when I deliver. I think if I tied him to my hip he would be the happiest guy ever.
But I don't really mind. It makes me feel good that I am not alone in this.

ME!!!!! Its annoying huh? It makes me feel bad when i clean something and he goes behind me and "fixes" it! He's been cleaning non stop, he wakes up early and goes to bed late because hes cleaning! I guess we have to let them have their symptoms just as they dont complain about or sickness and being soo sleepy! Oh, and im having another side affect that my husband has been dealing with like an angel, i cannot stand to look at him, touch him, smell him, and sometimes hear his voice. Im glad he cleaning and leaving me alone...poor guy!
