At what time will Harry Potter 7 be released in CST? I know that it is released one minute after midnight in Britain, and I am pretty sure that that is the time for the US. So what time will I be able to buy it? The reason I ask is because I live close to the time zone border where I can travel between 2 time zones easily, and I want to know if I get it at the same time no matter what time zone I am in in the US.

You cannot buy it until 12:01 no matter what time zone you're in - this means people in the UK will have it before people in the US, people on the East Coast will have it before people on the West Coast. So if you can go one zone east easily and want it "one hour earlier," go for it!

From the Raincoast Books (Canadian publisher of the series) Website: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is embargoed until 12:01 AM local time on Saturday July 21st, 2007 across all Canadian time zones."
I'm sure that that would be the case for the US as well - that it will be released at midnight local time in New York and midnight in California (three hours later).
