I use my Laptop computer as my primary computer, as I can take it any where in the house. I always keep it pluged in and very rarely use the battery. I was told that I should NOT keep my batteries (Primary or Multi Bay back up) in my laptop all the time beings that I keep it plugged. That they last longer and pro long the life of the batteries if I take them out and only put them in when I am going to be using the batteries.
What is the best course of action to prolong the life of my laptop batteries?
Thank You

It is true if you do not use your battery very often. You should dis-charge it to about 50%. And store it until you know you are going to use it. It does pro-long the life of your battery. But make sure you put it in and charge it to 100%, when you know you are going to need it. You should store the battery in a cool dry place. It is a good idea to invest in a laptop carry case. They have a special pocket for the battery(s). You can get them just about any place Wal-mart has them pretty cheap.
Good luck

Well, my friend did that and I was told that you are more likely to get your battery stolen or lost that way. and if you have to go somewhere quickly with your laptop than you can just get up and go. So I find it easier to just keep my battery in. Hope I helped!!!
