Proper spelling and grammar are not required in homework assignments other than English class at some (presumably most) public schools. I have been flabbergasted on many occasions by a paper brought home by my children sporting an A grade yet rife with spelling and grammatical errors.

The teacher's explanation? This isn't an English class and the answers were correct.

Um, ok... sheesh my bad
And I'm the ******** because the work isn't up to my standards and I expect the girls to perform better than the teacher does. Of all the nerve. Shame on me.

And I was wondering why you spelled grammar wrong. I can understand abbreviations of a sort while chatting on the messenger. However, when it comes to writing an e-mail, or asking / answering questions here, I would expect people to use proper grammar and spelling, especially native speakers.

Some feel its cool to use bad language. Others really can't help it, which is bad. They sound things out and it comes out wrong. Its a turn off really, especially with all the internet usage these days. We all spend at least 12 years or more in school, learn to spell damn it....its not cool to be a fool.

No you didnt. You really shouldnt be talking like that when you cant spell GRAMMAR correctly. And if you did misspell it on PURPOSE what makes you think others arent doing the same thing.

Unfortunately, children have better things to do than study grammar and punctuation...such as play on the video consoles that were bought by Mom and Dad...adults don't seem to care much for formal English, or punctuation...read almost any newspaper, magazine or book these days, and you will find errors aplenty...
I care because: my eighth grade English teacher once told me that the way you wrote and the care you took with your writing was a measure of your character...successful people edit and revise..and that always stuck with me!

I understand what you are going through. I hate to see a question that has been posted with several question marks or exclamation points behind it. I also hate to see misspelled words. Especially when there is a spell check option available. I come here so that I can have a place to voice my opinion. I don't care if I offend anyone. My opinions are my own.

"anyone"

Some people DO use proper grammar and spell correctly. Don't be so absolute and judgmental.

"grammer"

Sure you say it's a joke. Now that you've been corrected...

I don't mind. Words that are more than 5 letters long is understandable to a certain point. What I have a problem with is people who can't spell a four letter, or three letter word correctly. That bugs me.

Perhaps before ranting and raving, you might make sure you're spelling grammar correctly.

Clearly this isn't a joke, as you have spelling errors in most of your posted questions.

in case you will not be able to spell wisely or use desirable grammar, do not anticipate me to love your status. (you prefer to assert "spell wisely," because of the fact anybody can spell, yet you prefer them to spell wisely) be careful, however, in case you submit this on facebook because of the fact anybody would be watching your postings for any tiny mistake you will make, and that they are going to ridicule you for being hypocritical for criticizing others for making errors once you're imperfect your self. you will by no skill hear the tip of it.
