True, no Indonesian Island is officially for sale. However.....Singapore has come to dominate the economy of two Indonesian Islands off it's coast--Bintan and Batan. It has moved some of its manufacturing base to these two islands.
Also....and you will love this...Singapore actually cartered away 1000s of tons of soil and rock from the Islands to build its man made islands including Sentosa.

Sure, some people may despise nor hate the Chinese descent and Malaysia's culture, but NOT all of them. The reason why Indonesia hate Chinese because they think that they "took" over Indonesia instead the Indonesian them selves. They believe that the Chinese has changed their blood from Indonesian. On the other hand, many Indonesian despise Malaysia because they took everything, like culture (dancing, music) , food (sate [satay], nasi goreng [fried rice], tempe, rendang) , language (somewhat similar), clothing (batik, kebaya), religioni (many are Islam) and many more.

Unfortunatelly they don't sell any island to other countries. Nationalism is more important than economic or livelihood of the general public.
