just make sure you pick a song that shows off all your vocal talents but isn't too old or too hard for you to sing

What was popular at my son's middle school's talent show, was songs from "High School Musical".
My 9 year daughter loved the musical on Disney Channel and has the soundtrack to the movie.
There's some pretty good songs on that soundtrack and very popular with the youngsters and the teens!

It depends on your style. If you're more for a R&B/pop vibe, try Jojo songs or songs by Cassie. If you're a little more rocker, try Avril Lavigne or Evanescence. If you love pop music, maybe Hilary Duff or Anna Nalick.

it depends on what your range is
and whether you want it to be slow or fast.
you'll have to check whethere your an alto or soprano.
and then choose a song with either lower notes or higher notes
to suit your voice better
