I look for a few things in a friend, common interests would be a must, a great sense of humor, someone who is willing to listen when I have a problem, I of course return the favor.

Loyalty is number one for me.

I don't take friendship lightly. And I don't throw the word 'friend' around too quickly. I like dependabilty, honesty, intelligence, a good respect for boundaries, a good confidant. Friendship takes time to grow.

In other words, the same attributes that I would look for in a mate, I value in a friend.

I think that in friendship, as in all things, quality is preferable to quantity. One good friend is worth more than 2 dozen fair-weather friends, don't you agree?

Also, you are only as strong as your weakest link.........

Someone who is honest has integerity, won't talk bhine your back and someone that will not go and tell others any that you may have told them confidentually.
Oh and someone that will not judge you based on your faults.
