If you were a fashion designer, would you use petite, chubby models on the runway?

No but i have no problem with the petite part. I dont think height matters in fashion, but models should have a good body (not necessarily really skinny) but they cant have like a huge stomach or anything so the clothes will look flattering

When my sister got modeling jobs in New York City (this was 30 years ago, though) they required them to be at least 5'7" tall, so that the clothes could be seen clearly from the seats in the audience on both sides of the runway.

I would want to use somewhat thin and somewhat chunky models, but I would have to go with taller women so that the clothes could be seen better.

I'd use petite, but definitely not chubby. Clothes don't look as well on chubby, but can work on petite.

It really doesn't matter what kind of models are on the run way.It matters if they are having fun doing what they like.The outfet is the judge of it really.The outfet has to complement the model to be truthful.

This could also depend on what kind of clothing you are designing. For example.. if you were designing yoga wear.. you would want athletic models. But I think you should choose realistic models. =]

not chubby, but i would want some tall and some short models. and they don't have to look like they're anorexic, just normal-sized.
