A family tree works like a tree with many branches. And, on the main branches you will have the father, mother first. Or, as far back as you can go, then you go to the next branches and list their children and their children's children and of course their spouses. It is alot of work. There are different methods, you can use the number code method as well. This works like this.
1. Elijah Parker
under his name of course his spouse
then you will list the children.
Lets say they had 2 children.
so the numbers would be
1-1 Bobby Parker
1-2 Susan Parker
This goes on and on with their marriages etc, spouses and their children. Alot of work.
