I'd have to say Italy. Picture a country where there are quiet, quaint little villages where ervyone knows everyone else, and the people welcome you with open arms. Deep green valleys, the snowy Dolomites rising up from a sprawling green landscape with rolling hills. In the distance, you see a field of complete yellow, that moves together in the breeze, like a yellow sea: a field of sunflowers. Or, you're on the shore of the beach and on a sharp cliff that juts out of the turquoise water, small houses in whites, peaches, and blues are all stacked closely together from the very top to the base. Walk through it, you'll see little fish markets, little kids running around with dogs at their heels, women hanging laundry on fishing line strung across their small courtyards. Or, you can find yourself in Milan, a fashion capital of the world, where glamorous men and women stroll the streets, wearing clothes not even in the U.S. yet, but soon to be the "hottest trends". Vespas and tiny SmartCars ride through the cobblestone and brick streets. Venice, a city of romance, slowly sinking into the ocean. Ride with your love in a boat as a man croons a song to you as he paddles through the still, emerald green water, making a soft rippling sound as you slide through it. Italy has everything, and you can lose yourself there.

My favorite place used to be the swing on my back porch. I would swing really high for hours listening to music and thinking crazy, wonderful things or reading good books. I liked it because it was quiet and the view of the yard was pretty (I could see my leaning tree, an old pine who leans at a 45 degree angle from the ground, in addition to all the other trees). I liked the rythm of the back and forth. I liked the going higher and higher. I liked that I could be by myself but my family was all just inside the door on the computer or watching t.v. or setting the table, or down on the patio cooking on the grill. I could and often did watch the rain from my swing because there was a roof. I could sit still on the swing and watch all my birds visit the feeder. That was a great place.

Unfortunately, at the end of last summer, it fell down. We hung it back up and it fell again. The wood in the roof is old. I don't know what I'm going to do this summer. That was a great place.

My favorite place in the world is Princeton University. With its medival European style, and academia intensity it provides an atmosphere that one must fall in love with. A person of no religious affiliation will love the chapel, and anyone would appreciate the building structure and vast open space. In rural New Jersey it is surely set apart from the rest of the state. In just one visit you would be motivated to become a better student and better all around person.

Right here in the middle of the wilderness of the Ozark Mountains on a dirt road with little traffic. Lots of trees and peace and quiet. Love to listen to the birds singing in the morning and the crickets and tree frogs at night. The music of nature surrounds me all the time.

My favorite place in the world is San Fransico, California, since it's like a big city, but it still has that rustic small town feel to it. Plus the weather is AMAZING (but it never snows :'-( ). And they have a pretty bridge.

Land of my birth,St.Vincent, in the Caribbean. Most of my family is there. There is no winter, the beach is along the road, so you don't have to drive for miles. Walk in the mountains and pick mangoes, the sunrise is beautiful and the sunset, especially is absolutely gorgeous.
